A bevy of one-off shooting brakes and styling masterpieces by Touring will be among the highlights of the seventh running of Salon Privé. The Pegaso Thrill and Lamborghini Flying Star are both set to make their UK debuts as a result, alongside both the original and 2012 Disco Volantes as part of a huge celebration of the Italian carrozzeria.
Although the concours remains at its Syon Park venue, the date will move to 5-7 September for 2012 and organisers today outlined many more planned changes, including an art and memorabilia feature showcasing 10 world-renowned motoring artists.
Other classic highlights will be a Bugatti class starring the company's – and Ettore's – first racer, a 1912 Type 16.
Special guest at today's press launch in Brentford was Jamiroquai frontman Jay Kay, who brought along his Ferrari 330GT Vignale shooting brake to herald a class dedicated to the coachbuilt wonders.
It was joined by a Bugatti Brescia and a host of other machinery representing this year's concours classes.
